Tech Support Ticket 
Scheduled assistance from one of our Technology Department Staff Members.

  • Tech Support Ticket Procedures
    • Always file a Tech Support Ticket online by going to our district website dcps.k12.va.us
    • Underneath Quick Links, select Tech Support Ticket
    • Submit New Ticket
    • Choose a criteria of the problem you may be having
    • Fill out the ticket with as much information as you can so we can be prepared while addressing the issue
    • Click Create

  • New Features
    • E-mail notifications
    • Ability to see when a ticket has been closed via e-mail notification
    • Ability to reopen a ticket if the problem reoccurs

Tech Support Live 
Call-In Support Live and On-Demand

Overview:
Tech Support Live allows faculty and staff members to open a live support session with our Technology Department.  Once you click on Tech Support Live, give the application time to download and then select “Run” if we are in the office during that time we can view that session in a queue and then connect to your workstation remotely. 

Once we are connected, you will be able to see what we are doing on the screen to take care of the problem you are having.  With this feature we are hoping to be able to take care of some of the little problems a little quicker and more responsive.

  • Tech Support Live Procedures
    • Navigate to dcps.k12.va.us
    • Underneath Quick Links, click Tech Support Live
    • Allow some time for the application to download
    • Select RUN
    • If we are on the phone with you during this time, we will instruct you to click ALLOW
    • Once you select ALLOW, you should see one of us trying to address the problem

Note:  If you are unable to get to a telephone for a Tech Support Live session, you can e-mail us the Session ID and Password.
